For Tuesday (2/9)

For Tuesday, watch the 1964 film version of Matheson’s I Am Legend.  As you watch the movie, think about differences you note between novella and movie.  Some areas to keep your eyes on: the nature of the apocalypse; the apocalyptic setting; the PA protagonist as character and social type; the PA antagonist(s); the PA social structure/contract.  (Also, don’t forget to look for motifs specific to I Am Legend, i.e. “the car” (Olivia), “the dog” (Fabiola), “the woman” (Anna).).
