{"id":133,"date":"2015-09-16T04:33:46","date_gmt":"2015-09-16T04:33:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/teaching.lfhanley.net\/eng528f15\/?p=133"},"modified":"2015-09-16T04:36:08","modified_gmt":"2015-09-16T04:36:08","slug":"for-thursday-september-17","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/teaching.lfhanley.net\/eng528f15\/2015\/09\/16\/for-thursday-september-17\/","title":{"rendered":"For Thursday (September 17)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Ford : The Road Not Taken - Robert Frost\" width=\"660\" height=\"371\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1wwXfAFQoh8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>For our next class (Thursday, September 17), here&#8217;s what you&#8217;ll want to have completed: 1) You only annotated the Frost poems with questions; now, return to the annotations for &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/teaching.lfhanley.net\/eng528f15\/texts\/rober-frost\/\">The Road Not Taken<\/a>&#8221; and &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/teaching.lfhanley.net\/eng528f15\/texts\/rober-frost\/\">Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening<\/a>&#8221; and answer the questions posed by others (one annotation on either of the poems); 2) Read and annotate Edna St. Vincent Millay&#8217;s &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/teaching.lfhanley.net\/eng528f15\/texts\/edna-st-vincent-millay\/\">Love Is Not All<\/a>&#8221; &#8211; &#8211; but here&#8217;s the rub: instead of annotating with words, <strong>make two annotations of Millay&#8217;s poem with only images (no words)<\/strong>. \u00a0Try to choose an image that adds something to the poem &#8211; &#8211; that explains or comments on the piece of text you&#8217;re annotating.<\/p>\n<p>How do I annotate with images? \u00a0It&#8217;s easy. \u00a0Just highlight the text that you want to annotate. \u00a0When the little annotation box pops up, don&#8217;t choose the &#8220;pencil&#8221; icon; instead, choose the little text box icon on the left. \u00a0This will open up the usual annotation panel \u00a0in the right column. \u00a0There, you&#8217;ll see a little picture icon. \u00a0Click on that icon and paste in the url of the the image you want to add.
