For Thursday (3/11)

For Thursday, read “To Elsie” by William Carlos Williams.  Make two digital annotations.  But, here’s the rub.  Instead of simply commenting on the poem, annotate by connecting a word or phrase or line from the poem to one of the works of art you looked at in The Armory Show.  In your annotation, include an image of the painting, sculpture, drawing, etc. from The Armory Show and explain how the line/phrase/word from the poem connects to the painting.

And, try to get started on Eliot’s “The Waste Land.”  We’ll be spending a lot of time on the first section of the poem – – “Burial of the Dead.”  Try to get a taste of that section for Thursday.
