The things we need to do for Wed.:
Congrats! You’ve twined your first story – – “Young Goodman Brown” – – and published it to the web. Now, it’s time to turn to twining your own story. First things first, having selected your own short story, boil that story down to its sequence of narrative events/kernels – – just like we did with Hawthorne’s short story. Bring your story and your sequence of narrative events (carefully listed on a separate sheet of paper) to class. Prepare to twine.
Have you reviewed two draft articles in Wikipedia? If your draft article has two reviews, you should now be revising your page in light of the feedback you’ve received. In this final phase, we’ll want to make sure that your draft article satisfies the Wikipedia criteria for a good article. And, we’ll want to start polishing up your page. This means: editing your prose, adding links, pasting in things like infoboxes and images. We’ll work on this until Monday, when we’ll start publishing pages.
(Also: be sure to check your Distant Reading Report. If you’ve posted one, I’ve commented on it. If you don’t see the comment on your post, go to your WordPress dashboard and authorize the comment.)
